The Medical Association of the State of Alabama produces a monthly newsletter (Alabama MD), an electronic newsletter (e-MD), and annual Membership Directory.
The Alabama MD reports news of interest to MASA’s membership including important regulatory changes, third party payer notices, MASA policy decisions and news of members who have recently relocated, received awards or been elected to an office within organized medicine. The Alabama MD also features the Physician Placement Register, a classified listing of job opportunities and equipment/office space for sale or lease. The e-MD is available electronically by e-mailing masa@masalink.org with “subscribe” in the subject line. Current and archived issues are available in the members only section of the Web site.
The annual Membership Directory is published in the fall of each year and includes a list a members of the Medial Association alphabetically, by specialty and by county. The Directory also contains lists of the leadership of MASA, county medical society boards and leadership, hospitals in Alabama and more.
The Roster (must be logged in as a member) of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama is published for the information of its membership.
Names, addresses and other information contained herein are compiled from annual reports of the secretaries of county societies and from information received from individual physicians compiled through July 2008.
