The Third Party Task Force is a subcommittee of the Board of Censors where physician members provide assistance to other physicians in resolving issues and disputes with insurance companies, HMOs, other third party payors, including Medicaid and Medicare and peer review organizations. The Task Force attempts to address those issues and concerns involving payment, peer review regulations, contracting and related issues which would be of common concern to a significant number of MASA members. Member physicians requiring the assistance of the Task Force should send a letter detailing the nature of the dispute and copies of relevant correspondence or medical records to MASA.
